A resident-led voice for our community
Capitol Crossing Warriors Tenants Association, also known as Capitol Crossing Warriors, is an independent, resident-led 501(c)(3) public charity serving neighbors at Capitol Crossing Apartments, formerly Woodway Square Apartments, in Austin, Texas.
We foster community, advocate for tenants' rights in affordable housing, and organize events that unite tenants and their neighborhood. CCWTA is also recognized under federal regulations as a tenant organization with the right to organize and advocate for residents.
CCWTA is not affiliated with or controlled by property ownership or management.
Resident leadership in action
Our neighbors turn shared concerns into practical progress.
The Board of Trustees is the association's governing authority. The Capitol Crossing Warriors Action Committee serves as its executive standing committee, advancing community initiatives and empowering tenant voices.
- Organized holiday events, pool activities, pizza nights, resource fairs, and tenant meetings
- Arranged meetings where residents could raise concerns directly with senior property management
- Secured a community bulletin board for resident updates, events, and resources
- Worked to improve repair response times and restore neglected community areas
- Helped residents prepare housing complaints for HUD, TDHCA, and local government agencies
